RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Raheel Sharif reached Beijing on Monday on a two-day visit and met his Chinese counterpart Gen Li Zoucheng.

According to tweets by Inter-Services Public Rela­tions Director General Lt Gen Asim Bajwa, measures to improve military cooperation, exponentially enhance training exchanges, defence technology and intelligence sharing, and security of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor were discussed during the meeting.

The COAS congratulated the Chinese army chief on assumption of command of a newly established headquarters.
