THIS refers to the news report ‘Musharraf’s threatening call to Benazir could not be traced: JIT’ (May 6). With this statement from the head of JIT, it should put the controversy to rest.

This confirms that Mark Siegel’s contrived testimony recorded through video link, with Farooq Naek sitting beside him with a pre-arranged script, was a pack of lies and there is no truth that Musharraf was in any way involved in Benazir’s assassination.

The public knows the real face (s) behind the assassination, while the sensitive intelligence agencies are also aware of it. This will come to light in due course.
