Unnecessary massages

It is really annoying that Pakistani mobile phone companies are sending unnecessary messages to their customers throughout the country. This is a cheap marketing tactic to disturb the nation. They already show ads on TV channels, newspapers, magazines and billboards; still they are sending their promotional and package messages on mobiles.

This is my humble request to such companies to stop sending unnecessary messages to the people, especially at night time.

Science-backed study tips

This is with reference to the cover story “Science-backed study tips” by Kashif Hafeez (YW, April 23). I am really impressed by the article as it displayed what a reader wishes to or deserves to read.

The article highlighted splendid tips that were so informative. Apart from that, YW has been providing its readers with amazing articles every week and I always look forward to reading it.

Lemon on the spoon

This is with reference to the story time “Lemon on the spoon” by Ayesha Alam (YW, April 9).

It was an amazing story with the lesson to stay focussed despite distractions and always be confident about one’s own self. And in order to get to our goals, we should never quit because a quitter never wins and a winner never quits. We should also realise that the toughest of tasks can be accomplished if one makes up his/her mind.

II

The story “Lemon on the spoon” by Ayesha Alam, was very nice as it revolved around the motto ‘never give up’. We have to be consistent to achieve our goals. There is no substitute of persistence and determination. Hardships and sufferings are part of the game.

We can’t just abandon hope because we know that every dark cloud has a silver lining. Tough times do come to an end. We should always stay optimistic and sincere and overcome all obstacles that come in the way.

III

I really liked the story “Lemon on the spoon” by Ayesha Alam as it was definitely an inspirational story for the children, who don’t participate in any games due to several reasons.

Some lack confidence, while some fear the thought of failure, etc. Children should participate in all the activities and games held at school as this way they gain confidence as well as get physically active.
