KARACHI: Pakistani textile sector could take the advantage of 10-year exemption from income tax and could also penetrate in the United States and European markets on investing in Mauritius.

This was stated by President of the Republic of Mauritius Dr Ameenah Firdaus Gurib-Fakim during a meeting with the delegation of All-Pakistan Textile Mills Association (Aptma), led by Chairman Tariq Saud, on Wednesday.

She invited Aptma members to invest in Mauritius — the gateway to Africa.

“The country provides huge opportunity in technical textile sector,” she added. She informed that her country provides 10-year exemption from income tax under the Mauritian Diaspora scheme.

“There is no minimum capital requirement for the incorporation of a company and 100 per cent foreign ownership is also allowed.”
