SHEIKHUPURA: A team of the Factory Area police and the Rangers on Friday raided Mauza Kot Pindi Das and arrested 19 people suspected to have ties with outlawed outfits.

The law-enforcement agencies got information that some activists of banned outfits had taken shelter at a place at Mauza Kot Pindi Das and conducted a raid, arresting 19 people who could not satisfactorily answer about their identity.

District Police Officer Sarfaraz Virk said the raiding team recovered sophisticated weapons from the suspects and further investigation was under way.

TOBA TEK SINGH: LEAs launched a search operation in various areas and took 22 Pakhtuns into custody.

The raiding teams claimed that these people failed to produce CNICs, however, later they were set free after they were identified through biometric system of Nadra.
