AHMEDABAD: Top Indian intelligence officials suspect Kulbushan Jadhav’s phone had been under surveillance by Pakistani intelligence and believe Jadhav’s complacency led to his capture, revealed the Ahmedabad Mirror.

According to the Ahmedabad Mirror, Indian intelligence officials suspect that many of Jadhav’s habits and mannerisms gave him away and his phone calls in Marathi to his family did not add up with his assumed identity.

“His passport identifies him as Hussein Mubarak Patel; but his mannerisms were nothing like that of a Muslim Patel,” an Indian official told the Ahmedabad Mirror.

In a video confession aired yesterday by the Pakistan government, Jadhav admitted he directed various activities in Karachi and Balochistan at the behest of the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and was picked up by Pakistani law enforcement agencies in Balochistan's Chaman near the shared border with Afghanistan earlier this month.

Read: Govt airs video of Indian spy admitting involvement in Balochistan insurgency.

Mumbai police told the Ahmedabad Mirror that Pakistani agencies also monitored Jadhav’s movements in Iran over the years. Police added that Jadhav’s family had lost touch with him in February, leading them to conclude that he has been in Pakistani custody longer than thought.

His family has also been unable to contact his two local emergency contacts, who have been reported missing for over a month. It is unclear whether they have also been captured or ended operations and fled into hiding to maintain plausible deniability.

Deven Bharti, joint commissioner of police (law and order), denied that the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has officially informed Mumbai police of Jadhav’s arrest in Pakistan.

Thane police commissioner Param Bir Singh corroborates the Pakistani government version that they recovered travel documents and multiple fake identities from Jadhav. His passport identifying him as Hussein Mubarak Patel, born in Sangli, Maharashtra, is apparently issued from Thane Regional Passport Office (RPO), but no record of it exists.

"We have tried to establish the veracity of Patel's passport and found that it was not issued from our RPO," says Singh.

"No police verification report was ever submitted by Thane police. In all probability it could be a bogus passport."

Former Indian police officer Shirish Thorat says, “In the event of an asset getting arrested, the handlers immediately secure other related assets like Agents in Places (AIP) or regroup their operations and fold up all the ongoing or future tasks.”

“This discontinuation of operations is far monumental a disaster than the arrest of an operative.”

Khan Mar 30, 2016 02:27pm

Its the best time for the security forces and the govt. to make arrest of his facilitators Now....

sandeep Mar 30, 2016 02:32pm

let me tell you.. I am a Marathi person staying in Maharashtra. and I can assure you that surname yadav does not belong to Marathi..

SAEED MASOOD Mar 30, 2016 02:34pm

With all this reporting in public by Indian authorities and press their Ministry for External Affairs is denying that he was a spy in Pakistan...what a lame attitude..

Ahmed USA Mar 30, 2016 02:34pm

Pakistan's humane treatment of Yadav is highly commendable... We treat even our enemies with respect...

Fudayl Ahmad Mar 30, 2016 02:41pm

@sandeep I am not sure what to make out from your comment, but like two sane nations, we should seriously consider revisiting our policies towards our neighbor. Both Pakistan and India. Both countries need to hold our intel agencies and non state actors on tight leash, and for good.

Khan Mar 30, 2016 02:43pm

@sandeep totally agreed with you But the bottom line he is an agent of raw who helped to dis established and under mind our national security...

bharat932 Mar 30, 2016 02:45pm

Yadav speaking marathi, You can count them on fingers in India. Please make sure to present before world very carefully, it is coming out very fake.

Fast Mar 30, 2016 02:47pm

@sandeep haha even indian govt admit he is an indian navy officer hailed from maharashtra , and you, just lol

Deepak Mar 30, 2016 02:50pm

Not even a single Yadav in India can speak Marathi. Yadav's belong to UP Bihar and MP. They can't speak Marathi at all.

Someone Mar 30, 2016 02:51pm

@Sandeep: Who cares about his surname. What is more concerning is his fake identity under a Muslim name. Indians could not even cover their footprints.

adventurer Mar 30, 2016 02:52pm

@sandeep

Yes you are correct an Yadav has to be a migrant come to Mumbai/Thane from either Bihar or UP. He has to know Marathi but talking with his family is strange. Why would he speak in Marathi.

Khalid Latif Mar 30, 2016 02:53pm

Good.

Nomi Mar 30, 2016 02:55pm

@sandeep yes ...thats because he is intelligence....a yadav speaking marathi

rehan Mar 30, 2016 02:59pm

@Deepak Sure, keep coming up with colorful denials .

Harmony-1© Mar 30, 2016 03:06pm

The massacres we suffer are also directly as a result of India training our non-state actors. Indian state actively involved with their state-actors in spreading terror and strife is tantamount to war. The irony is they propagate and bully us for not doing enough about our non-state actors and refusing talks and playing cricket as a result. Creating such monsters would rebound on them too just like it happened to America after what they did in Afghanistan.

Capt C M Khan Mar 30, 2016 03:15pm

Looks a lot like Akshay Khanna though. A future asset for Bollywood movies I guess.

Krezy Mar 30, 2016 03:20pm

Cant both countries come out of security hazards and align into economic convergence... Lets make public contacts stronger and tackle all divergence heads on i.e. one by one, with the aim to reduce the poverty level in South Asia...

Muhammed Ali UK Mar 30, 2016 03:35pm

@sandeep Very naive statement by you sandeep....you can find every name under the Sun in any given area...

Pathetic Mar 30, 2016 03:41pm

@sandeep Yadav is an Indian intelligence spy. He can learn Marathi or all your variety of lingos as part of his mission. Similarly Yadav is not a taboo name for non Marathis. Grow up.

Ahmed Mar 30, 2016 03:47pm

Indian govt and its intelligence is purposely misusing and maligning the names of Muslim Patels of India.

N.Sid Mar 30, 2016 03:51pm

So quite a few Indian media houses are coming up with the truth, unlike the MEA's India denying everything. The recorded statement is of many hours, this is just the first episode and a glimpse.

Maxx Mar 30, 2016 03:54pm

@sandeep how naive...his wife is a marathi and he was speaking that lingo...maybe he just got carried away in emotions and forget that he is a spy master at that moment in time...to err is human.

tamil Mar 30, 2016 03:55pm

I am tamil and i know lot of languages, important lesson here is non professionalism on our part , agents from other intelligence agencies are very careful and systematic about hiding their identity, we need to improve , this guy was not careful and is now suffering the consequences.

Neutral Mar 30, 2016 03:58pm

@Sandeep @Bharat932

IF you do google for Yadav + Marathi there are so many people that will be listed

You are trying the say that it is impossible for Yadav to speak marathi, how lame it is, india still not global enough for its own citizens ?

for example https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anand_Yadav

SAEED MASOOD Mar 30, 2016 04:03pm

Let me tell you that our agencies and specially ISI is not sleeping it is the most efficient and powerful agency in the world...they already would have rooted this guys connections like an infected abscess is cleaned, when the time comes everything will come out in the open...Inshahallah...India is surprised by this catch in Pakistan...more will come out soon...May God protect our Armed Forces and the people of Pakistan from the enemy's evil...

My 2 cents Mar 30, 2016 04:04pm

Lets hope common sense prevails - spies do what spies do all over the world- nations spy on each other all the times in peace or war.

Dis-mental his network get all what you need from him and quietly swap him for some gain - when time is right.

Mo Mar 30, 2016 04:06pm

@sandeep this is what Iv heard as well, I think it was RAW complacency assuming Pakistan has no knowledge of Hindu cultural traits etc.

Anand Mar 30, 2016 04:07pm

@sandeep yes sandeep rightly said

Mo Mar 30, 2016 04:09pm

Guys maybe I am misunderstanding. Clearly he is Marathi, however the alias given to him by RAW is that of Bihari, maybe this is oversight from the part of RAW ?

Tarun Mar 30, 2016 04:10pm

Yadav sir name does not belong to marathi community probably from bihar or up.

Shak@90 Mar 30, 2016 04:12pm

I my self very close to the intelligence agencies, but i think all of you don't know that these intelligence person well known to many languages no body can guess that whether it is his mother tong or not

Kunal Mar 30, 2016 04:18pm

@sandeep I am a Marathi speaking person and let me tell you that the surname Yadav can belong to a Marathi speaking person. Umesh Yadav (the cricketer) for example. Anyways I am not sure he is an Agent. Hopefully Truth will come out soon.

max Mar 30, 2016 04:20pm

@sandeep Indian consular section has asked access to Yadev who cares he speaks Mirathi or not

lafanga Mar 30, 2016 04:22pm

Guys his surname is Jhadhav not Yadav , hence the confusion, Jhadhav is marathi surname.

Khalid, UK Mar 30, 2016 04:23pm

@sandeep let me also tell you this, my name is Aziz, a popular Arabic name from Middle East and I don't speak a word of Arabic ! Make any sense to you ? Names are irrelevant !

Bob Mar 30, 2016 04:32pm

@Ahmed USA if u feel that he is being given a humane treatment, why can't or govt give him consular access. That is one basic help one can expect. Also we can be sure of his background.

iffi Mar 30, 2016 04:33pm

This shows the real face of india .... how they send there agents to destabilize Pakistan ....

Steve Boston Mar 30, 2016 04:37pm

@Fast Please enlighten us where Indian govt admitted he "is" Indian navy officer.

Anti_Yadav Mar 30, 2016 04:44pm

If he speaks Marathi or Gujrati is a total non-issue at the moment. Intelligence personnel tend to deceive in whatever way, be it language or ethnicity or even the working organization. The fact is that we have caught India red-handed yet in another covert operation and this should be taken to every international court for justice possibly blacklisting India for trade and putting economic sanctions from our allies. Secondly Pakistan should train itself to combat any attacks or plans developed by such personnel.

Last Word Mar 30, 2016 04:52pm

No Yadav with this surname can be Marathi.

murad Mar 30, 2016 04:53pm

bridge of spies part 2 this time pak and india

sandeep Mar 30, 2016 05:01pm

@Kunal let me tell you that the surname Yadav can belong to a Marathi speaking person. Umesh Yadav (the cricketer) for example. please kunal do a bit of Google on Umesh yadav

papilon indian Mar 30, 2016 05:04pm

How can India accept this, Your government never accepted that Kasab is Pakistani dont expect from Indian government.

Vir Singh Mar 30, 2016 05:04pm

@rehan Yadav is North Indian surname , its not marathi surname , its like Jatt , Rajputs surname

vishesh Mar 30, 2016 05:04pm

as per reports in marathi news..surname is "Jadhav" not "Yadav".. Jadhav are maharashtrians.

sharath chandra Mar 30, 2016 05:09pm

So a person speaking in Marathi is a RAW agent ?

Mohammad Farooq Mar 30, 2016 05:12pm

@Tarun Who cares. All we know that this is an Indian State sponsored terrorism.

rehan Mar 30, 2016 05:12pm

@sandeep Denials, denials, denials.

Alien Mar 30, 2016 05:13pm

Pakistan should use this opportunity to expose indian involvement in Pakistan on international level and also in UN.........

Akil Akhtar Mar 30, 2016 05:13pm

NO nation will ever accept when their spy is captured.....

MAsood Mar 30, 2016 05:16pm

Indian government & media showing tears of crocodile. Good job done by ISI.

Akil Akhtar Mar 30, 2016 05:16pm

Lets ask all the indian lovers in Pakistan what they think now

SK Mar 30, 2016 05:17pm

People doing arguments about whether Yadav can speak marathi or not, my friends agents can speak any language as their native language and thats why they are spy and not ordinary people like us. givepeaceachance

Rahul Kolte Patil Mar 30, 2016 05:18pm

@sandeep - if he was born in Sangli then he probably did speak Marathi. I have seen a Sikh Punjabi speak fluent Marathi in Kolhapur. Even though he is a Yadav maybe he did speak Marathi. Maybe he is Jadhav who knows.

Shahzad Ikhlaq Mar 30, 2016 05:29pm

@sharath chandra Yes, If he's caught illegally in Pakistan without a visa & having fake travel documents, having a fake name and being an active service member of Indian navy.

MM Mar 30, 2016 05:33pm

Most of the comments here do not make sense, this claim that he spoke Marathi is by the Indian intelligence through the Ahmadabad Mirror, so how is Pakistan making this up.

M.Saeed Mar 30, 2016 05:36pm

This is far monumental of a prized catch!

Zack Khan Mar 30, 2016 05:39pm

With all the comments from our indian friends here, all i have to say is that what is an indian navy officer doing in that area! Maybe he was flying kite in balochistan!!!

Arif Mar 30, 2016 05:45pm

Our indian "friends" here are are arguing that a yadav does not speak marathi..well this spy changed his religion so a language being learnt is not a big deal.grow up u "people"..come up with a more genuine denial.

Khwarezmi Mar 30, 2016 05:56pm

India Government is behind terror activities in Pakistan. This sums it up.

Sunil Mar 30, 2016 05:57pm

@SAEED MASOOD Did Pakistan every accept, Indian allegations?

M Y Mar 30, 2016 06:01pm

@Ahmed USA - Yes Sir , We do!!

imtiaz syed Mar 30, 2016 06:13pm

@sandeep Your ministers have already accepted him, how can you deny that comment

irfan Mar 30, 2016 06:13pm

@Deepak There are at least hundreds of biharis who are permanent residents of Mumbai and speak Marathi like Marathis, so do not bet on this.

bhrahmin Mar 30, 2016 06:16pm

@Pathetic agree what surprising that his family also learned Marathi

Raj Mar 30, 2016 06:39pm

I request Pakistan to take seriousness in capturing Lahore bomb blast terrorist.

Prashantjain Mar 30, 2016 06:57pm

Soon he will be released and handed over to Indian authorities.Dont worry

KJ Mar 30, 2016 07:17pm

@sandeep :"let me tell you.. I am a Marathi person staying in Maharashtra. and I can assure you that surname yadav does not belong to Marathi.."

At least someone could have done some research on the last name, beforehand, by finding out who is this guy, in actual fact.

N_Saq Mar 30, 2016 07:20pm

@Anti_Yadav I agree.

Qasim Shah Mar 30, 2016 07:30pm

@Raj It will take some time to stop all bomb blasts in Pakistan. Because many more Yadav are still operating in Pakistan, once all of them are captured, bomb blasts in Lahore and other places will stop. Yadev arrest proved that Indian regime is sponsoring terrors in Pakistan.

Waqas Kaka Mar 30, 2016 07:49pm

What else is needed to prove that Indian govt. is sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan? Anyone who sides with Yadev, in in fact sides with terrorism.

Abdulla Hussain Mar 30, 2016 07:50pm

Top Indian intelligence officials suspect Kulbushan Yadav’s phone had been under surveillance by Pakistani intelligence and believe Yadav’s complacency led to his capture, revealed the Ahmedabad Mirror.

“His passport identifies him as Hussein Mubarak Patel; but his mannerisms were nothing like that of a Muslim Patel,” an Indian official told the Ahmedabad Mirror.

These words are coming from Indian press I hope Mrs.Sushma don't also consider these as tutored or fabricated. The fact is India has got caught for its anti Pakistan action through w well organised state sponsored network RAW.

Ali Mar 30, 2016 07:52pm

Commander Kulbhushan Yadav "confessed" he was a serving officer of Indian Navy, he gave his rank and number. Then how did he become Hussain Mubarak Patel? How did acquire a forged Indian passport? How did he end up in Iran's Chabahar Port? How did he open jewelry shop there? Obviously, he could not do this on his own?

Indian government sent him to Iran's Chabahar Port, as undercover businessman on fake identity and forged passport. His mission was to target Pakistan's Gwadar Port and other maritime installations. He confessed being involved in terrorism in Pakistan. All this has exposed India's shocking state-sponsored terrorism.

Waqas Kaka Mar 30, 2016 07:56pm

@sandeep Do not lie, do some research then speak. If you search google using "yadav marathi". You will find many marathi with name Yadev. For example, google shows, (1) Anand Ratan Yadav is an Famous Marathi writer from Maharashtra, India. (2) Priyanka Yadav is famous Marathi Indian actress and many more...

Shah, Canada Mar 30, 2016 08:03pm

Yadev is not a Marathi name what does it show he has some other identities too wait.. all will come out. Nowadays people speak multiple languages or his family speak Marathi... is it a rocket science???

Azim Mar 30, 2016 08:05pm

Consular access is required by law. Not granting him that is creating suspicion.

Pakistani Mar 30, 2016 08:11pm

@sandeep He doesn't have to be born Marathi to speak Marathi you know..there are many punjabis that know hindi

fawad Mar 30, 2016 08:22pm

@Azim Why does India want Consular access for someone they dont even claim to be one of theirs.

The guy is a muslim convert businessman living in Iran.. Why bother ;)

fawad Mar 30, 2016 08:23pm

Admit that he is a RAW agent and you get you access India!

Osman Mar 30, 2016 08:40pm

Despicable and irresponsible behavior on part of the Indian government.

Nadeem Mirza Mar 30, 2016 09:19pm

@Deepak @Sandeep I can find you sikhs living in Peshawar who speaks pushto. I can find you people with punjabi name speaking Sindhi, Balochi, pushto. I am not sure what kind of logic you folks are trying to use, that Yadavs cant speak Marathi.

Hello world Mar 30, 2016 09:23pm

A Yadav speaking in Marathi? That doesn't happen!

Ad ch Mar 30, 2016 09:47pm

@sandeep please do some research on your own culture The foundations of Marathi culture were laid by the Yadavas in Maharashtra during their rule between 800 - 1300

Indian Mar 30, 2016 09:48pm

@Ahmed USA : yes Sarabajit Singh is an example.

Madan Mar 30, 2016 09:50pm

@sandeep :You are correct in telling that Yadav is not a marathi surname but there are a lot of people from U.P and Bihar states who have made Mumbai their home for a considerably long time and they and their children have started speaking fluent Marathi language.

kartikey Mar 30, 2016 09:51pm

Looks like a bogus fake theory a person who have in custody of Pakistan is smiling what a socking !!!! Looks like he has been abducted as govt has confirm on this ....

Khurram Jadoon Mar 30, 2016 09:58pm

@Bob Consular access is not going to come in early days of investigations. Later, once he's useless for Pak agencies, he will be given such luxury. He can hide what he can ... but won't be easy as he's been under the radar for years, now has to answer every count ...

Ali Mar 30, 2016 10:03pm

Please read the title it's Jadhav not Yadav. Which is Marathi name. Secondly, Indian gov has already accepted him as their naval officer. No point in beating around the bush:p

Hari Mar 30, 2016 10:06pm

stop the denial my fellow indians - He is Jadhav. Indian govt accepted

Sarah Mar 30, 2016 10:10pm

@bharat932 How does it makes difference? Still he is Indian and what he was doing in Iran,Karachi and Balochistan is still mystery?

usman TORONTO Mar 30, 2016 10:39pm

Guys I was born in late 80's, I never saw partition. however I believe in good relationship and good neighbour. Rather than espionage. why not India and Pakistan work together for mankind. We have million problems in both countries. ? what will India get after disintegrate Pakistan ?

Mohammad Ghouri Mar 30, 2016 11:15pm

@sandeep your govt is in fix and lost the trust

Mohammad Ghouri Mar 30, 2016 11:19pm

@bharat932 bharat i dont blame you because your govt lies so as the people of India

Another Indian Mar 30, 2016 11:23pm

Yadav and Marathi? I guess this gives away Pakistan's stand...

Mustafa Mar 30, 2016 11:53pm

I am not surprised at all by knowing about the presence of raw agents because india has a proven track record of creating sabotage in Pakistan. The good thing is that we have captured one of them alive. The saddening part is that iranian soil is used against Pakistan. It needs to be made public whether or not Iran knew about Jadav being indian spy and about his motives? If yes then iran must be taken to task. Iran must not interfere in Pakistan's ports or any other areas directly or through proxies.

Shary Mar 31, 2016 12:40am

@sandeep.. i have never seen a person in pakistan with the word "kasaab " in his name.. yet there happened to be an Ajmal kasaab from pakistan... So there can be yadevs in india speaking marathi..

Mani Mar 31, 2016 12:47am

@sandeep it could be his father's surname and his mother could be a Marathi.
Indian govt have accepted him as a navy officer, I am sure they can trace his family.

Anand Nirgun Mar 31, 2016 01:52am

Both nations need to grow trust and maturity in place of sending spy ....each sides only inocent people die...

Usman Khan Mar 31, 2016 02:00am

According to the Ahmadabad Mirror, he was arrested about two months ago. His two backup contacts / handlers have gone cold which means that they have either been captured or have gone underground. Will learn more in the next few days soon.

Abraham haque Mar 31, 2016 04:22am

@Sarah the same thing most Pakistani Intelligence agents do in other countries

pk Mar 31, 2016 05:34am

@ Khan

That is an allegation made by Pakistan but has not been proven. Need concrete evidence from reliable sources.

Ajay Vikram Singh Mar 31, 2016 05:36am

@sandeep - The news article says his surname is - Jadhav and not Yadav. Probably, since Yadav is more common indian surname for Pakistanis, so their TV media mistakenly calling him yadav, instead of Jadhav.

Jadhav is a very common surname in Maharashtra. Its a Marathi surname.

But these silly arguments is not the point here. The point is, he is an Indian businessman ( ex-navy) working in Iran, and he has been kidnapped by Pakistani authorities from very porous and totally unmanned Pakistan-Iran border. There have been many incidents in recent past, where some people from Pakistan, got inside Iranian territory and committed acts of violence and kidnapping.

If pakistan is so sure of their story, they should allow Indian consulate access and investigation. Why aint they doing it?

plain truth Mar 31, 2016 06:36am

@rehan and lies from here , lies and more lies and fabrication. no body buying this spy story,

ISRA Mar 31, 2016 07:24am

Now what other proof Needed to prove him as dangerous spy instigating terror activities within Pakistan ?

PakSal Mar 31, 2016 07:37am

@bharat932 He is married to a Marathi woman. She only understands Marathi.

aussie Mar 31, 2016 07:59am

typical indian mentality and behaviour...the man got arrested RED HANDED. still govt of india deny it. what a joke and shame on indian govt for not accepting responsibility ....poor agent will spend his life in jail for india while his govt denies him.

Farhan Mar 31, 2016 08:17am

@sandeep Mr. Sandeep you are jumping to conclusion so fast. Marathi people do have "Yadav" surname. Before Shivaji most of the Maharashtra was ruled by "Yadav" of Devgiri. Also there is a famous Marathi writer Anand Yadav.

Anand RatanYadav (Marathi: आनंद रतन यादव) is an Famous Marathi writer ... His books such as Jhombi and Nangarani depicts his struggle for education

Rohail Mar 31, 2016 09:11am

Smart ones! That's how intel work. You won't find any documents stating the validity of his identity. His arrest is just a shame for RAW. Just admit this as a total failure. Hats off to ISI as they have proven themselves the most professional ones without bragging about their services on media including social media.

Anand Mar 31, 2016 09:11am

The name is JADHAV not YADAV :-)

JADHAV is marathi.

Rahul Mar 31, 2016 09:15am

@sandeep are you sure Sandeep?

Confused Mar 31, 2016 09:27am

@sandeep I am a Muslim living in Australia and let me tell you, people from all over the world can come and live here and acquire residence, even with a surname of Patel, so why not in a place called India ?

Milind Mar 31, 2016 09:55am

@Sandeep - I'm a Marathi too and I personally know a few Yadavs, Tiwaris, Tripathis, Iyers, Nairs who have stayed in Maharashtra for generations and speak chaste Marathi.. Unless you know their surname, it would be difficult to tell they're originally non-Maharashtrian

Prawn and the Shark Mar 31, 2016 09:56am

In this world the big fish go free, the small fry get caught.

ABID ALI Mar 31, 2016 10:20am

How calm this man is ... looked like the guest appearance in the morning show....

ATIF Mar 31, 2016 10:25am

why everybody is saying yadhav? its jadhav and its for sure marathis. Please accept the reality

Adnan Jidaker Mar 31, 2016 10:28am

@Farhan You nailed Sandeep, infact he is in state of self-denial.

Chatterbox Mar 31, 2016 10:37am

@bharat932 Spies are taught and speak multiple languages. It's a part of their job description.

salman Mar 31, 2016 10:50am

@sandeep The point is Indian Govt has not denied his identity. Only saying he is a ex navy. Issue is not about the name .

salman Mar 31, 2016 10:56am

@bharat932 please check google there are about 73 million (2007) Native speakers of Marathi in india . Really hard to count on fingers isnt it :)

Shashank Mar 31, 2016 10:59am

@ Sandeep it is Jadhav ( Lot many in Maharashtra) and not Yadav

AFZAL Mar 31, 2016 10:59am

@sandeep Don't make yourself a laughing stock! I am a born Muslim from Pune (Maharashtra), I learned Marathi, Hindi and German as well during school days, can speak Urdu as mother language; migrated to Europe and polished my German and additionally learnt French. So the language barrier is not restricted. Wake up!

Datta Mar 31, 2016 11:01am

He is Jadhav and not Yadav. Jadhav is a marathi surname. In Karchi few Jadhavs are staying . I could found out from Google.

salman Mar 31, 2016 11:04am

@Deepak His name is officially confirmed by India bhai sahab ,the only thing is they are saying he is a ex army officer . BBC urdu journalist have talked to his family. His father was a ex high ranking police officer ,his matternal uncle also in police

salman Mar 31, 2016 11:08am

@adventurer This is not the point in covert operations identities are changed

salman Mar 31, 2016 11:11am

@Krezy probably will do it in next 500 years if lucky enough to survive each others nukes

salman Mar 31, 2016 11:16am

@Tarun Do google find your self there lots of yadevs belong to marathi community

Iqbal Bhai Mar 31, 2016 11:38am

@sandeep Your government has acknowledged him as ex-navy employee. So what you are saying does not count.

apakmuslim Mar 31, 2016 12:00pm

the whole thing looks like a set up..

Deepak Mar 31, 2016 12:02pm

@irfan A Yadav may or may not speak marathi but when they call their family; they won't talk in Marathi for sure.

Indian MARATHI Mar 31, 2016 12:02pm

@sandeep : It surely does. And moreover he is a Jadhav and not a Yadav.

Deepak Mar 31, 2016 12:09pm

@salman I'm not denying that he is Indian ; all I was saying that Yadav never speaks to his family in Marathi . And I was right his name is Jadhav not Yadav. Jadhav is defenetly Marathi.

MFM Mar 31, 2016 12:23pm

@bharat932 don't be so naive. His father and uncle were police officers in Maharashtra. Being born, educated and brought up in Maharashtra, how are you surprised him talking Marathi. May be his wife is Marathi. Try to be rational

Abdulla Hussain Mar 31, 2016 12:27pm

@Deepak: What about his passport name Hussein Mubarak Patel, Deepak trust me India is really caught this. India has to pay a big price for its terror acts carried out by RAW operatives throughout Pakistan

Akashwani Mar 31, 2016 01:25pm

Yadav and Jadhav are both different surnames, Yadavs are native of North India(UP,Bihar mostly) and Jadhavs are native of Maharashtra.. check the name of first Indian Olympic medal winner...guys do your homework before commenting here..

Kamran Khan Mar 31, 2016 02:38pm

He was just doing his job like other spies in the world

Amit Kosh Mar 31, 2016 03:01pm

Total confusion

Mir Ali Mar 31, 2016 05:13pm

@Deepak I am not sure if you've read the name correctly it is jadhav and not yadav. Yadav' are a caste in UP and Bihar Jadhav's are a Marathi caste

Zeeshan Mar 31, 2016 06:00pm

@Krezy Wish every one think like that :) very positive approach

Fayaz Mar 31, 2016 07:45pm

Mr. Sandeep. Your government accepted that he is Indian, navy official and from Maharashtra. Only thing they are denying is that he is agent of RAW. If you think he is not from Maharashtra, go to court against your government.

Mekal Faruki Mar 31, 2016 10:06pm

China should use the "Tibet Solution" with the terrorist state India, a threat to regional peace.

aussie Apr 01, 2016 05:49am

we should ban all Bollywood movies.

Sudhir Neyalasinger Apr 01, 2016 03:02pm

@Anti_Yadav Countries spying over one another is a standard phenomenon and taking this to UN or to major world powers is not going to help at all. India would always deny that RAW sent him. No major player and this includes Pakistan's Iron brother China would think of sanctions on India as all of them are looking at India for business growth. No country worth its salt will do anything about this. Pakistan and India should instead have a policy of exchanging spies.

NoOne Apr 01, 2016 03:05pm

@Kunal Check out.. his father migrated from UP to Nagpur..I am sure he wouldn't be speaking marathi at home

RC Apr 01, 2016 04:11pm

on a serious note, even if he is a spy, he should not languish in the Pakistani Jail and there should be a strict extradition treaty for spies.

Sensible Indian Apr 01, 2016 06:31pm

@sandeep its jadhav and not yadav

Reza Apr 01, 2016 07:08pm

Does Pakistan not have spies operating on other countries is a question we need to ask ourselves ?
