ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain presided over the military parade to mark Pakistan Day in Islamabad on Wednesday morning, praising the security forces, and pledged to continue the fight against terrorism.

During the rally, attended by several thousand people, Pakistani armed forces displayed nuclear-capable weapons, tanks, jets, drones and other weapons systems.

Pakistan Day commemorates the passing of the Lahore Resolution, when a separate nation for the Muslims of The British Indian Empire was demanded on March 23, 1940 as well as the declaration of the republic on the same day in 1956.

It is all good. But we also need to show a softer side and friendly might of Pakistan as well. Countries that want to invest want to see a investment-ready and not just militarily ready Pakistan. National security should be matched by enhanced external image as well. Next time it may be well advised to showcase innovations made by Pakistan in various scientific and human and social development on 23rd March.

Pak Army at its Best!! This Army has proved the success to support in times of peace and war. I saw medals given last night and jawans officers looked full of spirits and emotions. A jawan still walked to get his medal despite both legs and one hand been replaced after a situation. Mothers Widows Kids of the shaheed still hopeful for best future.
