KARACHI, Nov 10: Sindh chief minister’s advisor on Home and Co-ordination, Aftab Ahmed Shaikh, on Monday expressed concern over surge in robberies outside banks.

Presiding over a meeting at his office, the advisor said that it was observed the robbers always identified the persons coming out of banks with huge amount, which meant that the criminals had some source inside the banks to provide them exact information in this regard.

Mr Shaikh, after reviewing such incidents, told the police officers to always keep the possibility of any nexus between robbers and bank staff in view while investigating such cases.

He said that police should also keep a vigilant eye on the surroundings of banks to curb robberies. He urged the high bank officials to scrutinize their staff and monitor the activities of suspicious members.—PPI
