KARACHI, Nov 9: A total of 124 vehicles, including 39 cars and 85 motorcycles, have been taken away in different localities of the metropolis during the last one week.

According to police, 15 cars were taken away at gunpoint and 24 others were stolen from Gulistan-i-Jauhar, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Saddar, Clifton, North Nazimabad and other areas.

Thirty eight motorbikes were hijacked and 47 others stolen from many areas, including North Karachi, North Nazimabad, Korangi, Landhi, Gulshan-i-Iqbal and Saddar.

Police claimed to have recovered 33 stolen cars and 30 motorbikes during the last one week. However, the police denied to state as to how many of them have been handed over to their respective owners.
