Three killed in Gilgit

GILGIT, Nov 6: Three persons were killed in separate incidents here on Thursday. According to police sources, two armed men killed a person and injured two others in the Kargah valley.

They said that Iftikhar, son of Samad Khan, along with his friends attacked three locals of Kargah with pistols and killed Abdus Sattar, son of Manwar Shah and wounded two other persons, Ashraf and his brother Iqbal.

The injured were shifted to the DHQ hospital Gilgit where their condition was stated to be stable, sources said.

The police said the accused managed to escape.

Diamer Police sources said that two persons were killed and 5 sustained injuries when a Gilgit-bound car (KCI 14853) collided with a tractor trolley (GLT 1923) on Wednesday near Khalpan Bridge on the Karakoram Highway.
