PESHAWAR: Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Vice-Chancellor Professor Razia Sultana has condemned the terrorist attack on Bacha Khan University, Charsadda.

“The university shares the grief of the families who have lost their loved ones. The university stands with the government of Pakistan in its resolve to fight against terrorism,” said the VC in a statement issued here on Friday after a meeting she called to review the security system of the university against such terrorist threats.

Ms Sultana stated that the terrorists could not demoralise the nation, particularly the resilient youth.

This attack must not be considered an attack on any university; it has targeted the educational system and the only way to counterattack such cowardly acts was to impart more education and awareness among the masses, she said.

After the meeting, the students, faculty and administrative staff of the university led by Dr Razia Sultana walked in a procession to express solidarity with the victims of the Bacha Khan University incident, and prayed for the departed souls.
