KARACHI: Farhan Mustafa and Ibrahim Iltafat cruised into the final of men’s singles event of the 14th Westbury Open Ranking Tennis Championship here at the DA Creek Club on Thursday.

Farhan found little resistance from other semi-finalist Zain Nawab and succeeded in overpowering his rival 6-3, 6-0 while Ibrahim faced tough resistance from Marib Malik in the first set but the former eventually prevailed by recording a 7-5, 6-2 victory.

In the U-17 semi-finals, Talha Sohail defeated Bilal Imran 6-3, 3-0 while Hassan Farooq recovered from a set down to beat Nouman Aftab 4-6, 7-5, 6-3.

On the other hand, Zubair Raja clinched the U-15 singles title thrashing Rayan Jawad 6-2, 6-0 in the summit clash while Mohammad Zain blanked Hassan Jamal recording a 8-0 win in the U-9 climax with Mohammad Yousuf Haleem securing an 8-2 win against Ayan Yousuf in the U-11 semi-final.

In the men’s doubles final, Abdul Rehman and Farhan Mustafa defeated the duo of Dawar and Nomi Qamer 6-2, 6-3 to claim the title.
