QUETTA: Two policemen deployed outside a mosque in the city’s Multani Muhalla were shot dead on Friday.

Officials said that two people on a motorcycle opened fire on Head Constable Muhammad Mushtaq and Sepoy Wajid. Both were hit in the head, he added. The bodies were taken to the Civil Hospital for autopsy.

Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri has condemned the attack and directed the police chief to immediately submit a report.

“We will not compromise on the law and order situation,” he said, adding that the sacrifices of security personnel would be remembered.

Two policemen were killed in an attack four days ago on a checkpoint on Sariab Road.
