KARACHI, Nov 2: Residents of about 20 apartment buildings, situated on Baghdadi’s Bumbassa Street, have been deprived of water for the last one week.

The residents of the locality deplored that although a new pipeline was laid, last month, on Baghdadi’s Fida Hussain Sheikha Road (from Shirin Village to Gul-i-Noor Grammar School), a number of buildings of the locality had yet not been provided connections from it.

Complaints of persisting water shortage have also been received from various sectors of North Karachi, Orangi No 1-1/2, 2-1/2, Mehmoodabad, Akhtar Colony, Clifton’s Block 2 and parts of Gulistan-i-Jauhar.
