Woman sentenced to life term

MULTAN, Nov 1: Additional District and Sessions Judge Abdul Sattar on Friday handed down life imprisonment and Rs50,000 fine to a woman for killing her husband. The convict will have to undergo additional six-month jail in case of default of payment.

According to the prosecution, Zubaida, of Chah Nathaywala, shot dead her husband, Muhammad Sajid, on April 8, 2002.

The Budhla Sant police had registered a case against her. —APP
