SAHIWAL: All 16 candidates of chairman, vice -chairman and independents detained under 16 MPO were released from the central prison here on Friday.

Earlier, judicial magistrate Azeem Nasir accepted their bail pleas through their counsels and ordered their release.

Those released were A.D Chaudhry, Malik Sajjad Awan, Muhammad Akram, Mubashar Hasan, Shaikh Ijaz, Azhar Iqbal, Amir Raza, Norazul Haq, Farooq Farooqi, Haroon Mughal, Arshad Bhutta, Sajid Iqbal Mithu, Sarmad Shafqat, Furqan, Bilal Oudh and Muhammad Nadeem Chahu.
