KARACHI: Anwar Sami, a cartoonist who remained associated with several newspapers, including Dawn, Jang and Morning News, died in a road accident in Gulshan-i-Maymar area on Thursday. He was 77.

According to family sources, he is survived by his wife and four sons. He was on a routine evening walk near his residence when he was hit by a speeding car.

He was rushed to a private hospital but he could not survive. His funeral prayers would be held in Rahmania Masjid on Tariq Road after Friday prayers.
