NAWABSHAH, Oct 30: Several dozen people, including Nazims and councillors, took out a procession in Qazi Ahmed town on Thursday against district Nazim Faryal Talpur for misusing development funds and registering fake cases against members of the Awami Ittehad.

Protesters, led by Taluka Naib Nazim Doulatpur Jam Iftikhar Unnar, started marching from the Unnar House and culminated at the Naz Bagh.

Speaking on the occasion, Jam Iftikhar Unnar alleged the Nazim of misusing her powers by awarding government contracts to favourite persons belonging to the People’s Party.

Protesters announced to carry out series of protests in different areas of the district, demanding an inquiry against the Nazim.—BoC
