QUETTA: At least three policemen were injured in a roadside bomb blast in Killi Qambrani area on the outskirts of Quetta on Wednesday.

Official sources said the target was a police van which was patrolling the locality.

“Three policemen were injured in the blast which was targeted at the police mobile patrolling the Killi Qambrani area,” said Home Secretary Akbar Hussain Durrani.

A senior police officer said that a remote-controlled improvised explosive device was used for the blast.

Soon after the blast, personnel of Frontier Corps and police reached the scene and shifted the injured personnel to civil hospital.

Police, along with the FC, launched a search operation in the area to find those involved in the bomb attack.
