Balochistan youths told to get modern education

QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Mohammad Khan Achakzai praised on Sunday the role of Pakistan Army in promoting education in Balochistan. He urged the youth to equip themselves with modern education and technology.

Speaking at a parents’ day ceremony at the Sui Military College, he said: “Our youths are talented and they can play an important role in the development of the province. They will have to pay special attention to education and technology.”

Mr Achakzai said that without promoting education, the country could not achieve the goals of progress and prosperity, adding that the development of the country was linked with the promotion of education. Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said that Sui Military College was playing an important role in promotion of education in the province.

He said the law and order situation in Balochistan had improved to a satisfactory level and efforts were being made to bring complete normalcy in the province Commandant of Sui Military College Brig Haroonur Rasheed said that students of his college performed well in different competitions held at national level.

The governor inaugurated a water supply scheme for Sui town and a swimming pool and a gymnasium at the college.

Tribal elders of Sui and Dera Bugti called on the governor and discussed problems of the area.
