Broadcast deal for PSL signed

LAHORE: The Pakistan Super League has signed a broadcast production deal with UK-based Sunset+Vine to cover the high-profile league which is scheduled to be played from Feb 4 to 24 in the UAE.

According to a press release issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Sunset+Vine was awarded the contract after a stringent pre-qualification process driven towards ensuring quality production of the highest level.

An advertisement was published for production companies to submit technical proposals, as per the press release, which stated that several companies submitted proposals to obtain production rights for the PSL.

The proposals were evaluated by the PSL bid committee assisted by PSL’s global consultant, Repucom, it said, adding that as a result of this technical evaluation the Sunset+Vine qualified following which its financial quote was brought down significantly in line with PSL’s financial model.

Any PSL or whatever does not mean a thing unless it is held in Pakistan. This is an excercise to maintain PCB officials expensive lifestyles and a free outing for their families and friends. We never leave any oppertunity to befool the people and people too are always ready to befooled.

It is very standred tv company. It is very good that PSL will be broadcasted by that company. Better quality than rest of sports channels and the richest overall i think.

@Pakistan We have security issues and we must acknowledge that. Kindly do not try to disparage others while shutting eyes from reality. Even Indian league was once held abroad. Middle east have infrastructure to support our cricket and foreign players can easily live their. Intact we will save billions as we don't have to do any security arrangements while playing abroad.

what we dont know is who going to have broadcasting rights? if its given to sky it will be not seen by many asian fans because sky is very expensive broadcaster to sign up with. broadcast production deal with UK-based Sunset+Vine to cover the high-profile league is good move they cover almost everything including last commonwealth games lets hope they also permote it well and permote it well.
