LAHORE: The national selection committee headed by Abdul Rasheed Junior announced on Saturday hockey squad for the junior Asia Cup scheduled to be held from Nov 14 to 22 in Kuantan, Malaysia.

The squad to be captained by Ammad Shakeel was selected at the end of one-day trials held at the Johar Town Hockey Stadium here on Saturday.

Squad:

Goalkeepers: Mohammad Talal Khalid, Ali Haider; Full-backs: Mubashir Ali, M. Atif Mushtaq; Half-backs: Abu Bakar Mahmood, Ammad Shakeel Butt (captain), Junaid Kamal, Mohammad Adnan, Mohammad Qasim and Faizan; Forwards: Shan Irshad, Azfar Yaqoob, M. Dilber (vice-captain), Rana Suhail Riaz, Mohammad Atiq, Bilal Qadir, Mohammad Adnan Anwar and Mohsin Sabir; Stand-byes: Hafiz Ali Umair, Shah Faisal Shah, Zahidullah, Mohammad Naveed, Mohammad Rizwan, Sikandar Mustafa and Fahadullah.
