ISLAMABAD: It was decided during a meeting at PM House on Thursday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will take up the matter of Indian ceasefire violations alongside the Line of Control (LoC) and working boundary with US leadership in his upcoming trip to United States later this month.
Nawaz, while chairing a meeting held to discuss his upcoming trip to US, said “the visit would help in further promoting the bilateral relationship between the two countries”.
The meeting focused on deliberations regarding the issues of mutual interest between Pakistan and US, said a statement issued on Thursday.
The prime minister expressed hope that the visit will also provide Pakistan with an opportunity to highlight the matchless sacrifices and huge losses during the war on terror.
“Both sides will discuss bilateral cooperation on a wide range of issues, including the ceasefire violations alongside the LoC and working boundary by India, Pakistan's efforts for peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan, the regional security situation and the steps to counter ISIS presence in the region,” read the statement.

The government maintained that “US is an important partner of Pakistan in all areas especially economy, defence and counter-terrorism”.
Nawaz believes that Pakistan sees its relations with the US as a partnership which is in the interest of the two countries, the region and the world, the statement added.

The prime minister said that he was looking forward to his visit to the US on October 17 as an opportunity to further strengthen the ties between the two countries.
The meeting was was attended by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan, National Security Adviser Sartaj Aziz and PM’s special assistant Tariq Fatemi.

This is just the ritual diplomatic position. The real Sharif arrives in US a few days after Nawaz. Raheel is going to demand that the US stick to it's promise of Afghan peace plan, boot India out immediately and hold a real election in Afghanistan rather than a Kashmir-like sham that brought a World Bank officer to rule Afghanistan.

@Rational What wrong decision NS made in Kargil war? Kargil war was the most ill conceived war one can think of. Pakistan was in a very miserable position and the reason being India was using its Air Force round the clock and the Pakistani posts were without any air cover. In fact NS provided a very respectable exit to Pakistan army through diplomatic process. If Musharaf was in very good position in the war, he would never have listened to NS and rather have arrested him on the charges of taking decision against the national interest.

Pakistan must follow up vigorously the issue of Kashmir, which was rightly termed as unfinished agenda of partition by our Army Chief in the recent past. In order to put this issue in the back burner, the Indian Government and Indian Army is frequently violating LoC by putting blame on Pakistan on account of cross border terrorism and etc, just to divert the attention of the international community, from the issue of Kashmir. Pakistan should not compromise and budge an inch from its legitimate position on Kashmir on the flimsy ground of promotion of trade between the two countries, which is a two-way business. Not only this, but Pakistan should also highlight terrorism sponsored by India in Balochistan and tribal belt of FATA Region.

The current scenario is that the West has lost a war in Afghanistan and Pakistan can help mitigate the humiliation. For starters, Bramdagh Bugti of BLA openly admitted in an interview getting funding and support from RAW. TTP leader Fazlulah living in Afghanistan under the protection of NDA and RAW. I have not even mentioned Karachi yet.

Remember if India continues to violate the ceasefire there will be an effect on war on the western borders of Pakistan, and that effects US troops in Afghanistan who only have control of Kabul.
