KARACHI: The first of two three-day Under-19 Test between Sri Lanka and Pakistan petered out in a tedious draw at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota on Tuesday.

After Sri Lanka had closed their second innings at 211-3 to set the visitors a meaningless target of 350, Pakistan reached 142-3 when umpires Lyndon Hannibal and Ravindra Kottahachchi decided to pull off the stumps for the final time.

The second Test will also be played in Hambantota from Saturday.

Kumara 3-46, S.H.T.N. Nimesh 3-46, A.M. Fernando 3-60) and 142-3 in 40.4 overs (Zeeshan Malik 55, Abdullah Shafiq 38, Kamran Afzal 21, Imran Rafiq 20 not out).
