KARACHI: The first of two three-day Under-19 Test between Sri Lanka and Pakistan petered out in a tedious draw at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota on Tuesday.

After Sri Lanka had closed their second innings at 211-3 to set the visitors a meaningless target of 350, Pakistan reached 142-3 when umpires Lyndon Hannibal and Ravindra Kottahachchi decided to pull off the stumps for the final time.

The second Test will also be played in Hambantota from Saturday.

SRI LANKA 347-9 declared in 95.3 overs (K.I.C. Asalanka 200, P.V.R. de Silva 36, P.W.H. de Silva 31, W.I.A. Fernando 23; Shadab Khan 6-89, Saif Ali 2-78) and 211-3 declared in 54 overs (W.I.A. Fernando 63, S. Ashan 54 not out, M.S.U. Pereira 49, P.W.H. de Silva 25 not out); PAKISTAN 209 in 66.3 overs (Umair Masood 102, Shadab Khan 29, Abdullah Shafiq 20, Awais Iqbal 20; C.B.R.L.S. Kumara 3-46, S.H.T.N. Nimesh 3-46, A.M. Fernando 3-60) and 142-3 in 40.4 overs (Zeeshan Malik 55, Abdullah Shafiq 38, Kamran Afzal 21, Imran Rafiq 20 not out).
