GUJRANWALA: The Punjab government has given an approval for the construction of a children hospital in Gujranwala and directed the health authorities to equip it with latest medical facilities and equipment.

At a meeting presided by DCO Amir Jan, DHQ Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Anwer Aman said the hospital for the children was the need of the hour due to the ever-increasing population of the city. He said the chief minister had also felt the need for establishing the hospital for children during his previous visit to the city.

The DCO directed the health authorities to work out the expenditures of the hospital for the release of required funds.

SEALED: The district administration sealed four boilers of industrial units and directed their owners to shift their units from residential areas to outside the city.
