HYDERABAD: Three forms were submitted against seats of the chairmen and vice chairmen for the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (HMC) and District Council (DC) Hyderabad before the returning officers concerned on Monday.

Besides, 213 forms for general seats of the HMC and DC, one for member DC, two for ward members of the Municipal Committee Qasimabad, five for Tandojam Municipal Committee and one for Town Committee Husri were submitted.

According to a break-up, HMC has 96 seats of chairman/vice chairman of union committees, 384 for general councils. Hyderabad DC comprising rural taluka of the district has 20 chairman/vice chairman seats, 80 of general councillors and 20 of DC members.

Municipal Committee Qasimabad has 27 wards, Municipal Committee Tandojam has 11 wards and Town Committee Husri has six wards. Elections for reserved seats of women, peasant/workers, minority and youth would be held in second phase of LG elections. Polling in Hyderabad would be held on Nov 11.

Nominations are to be filed till Sept 17 and scrutiny of papers would begin from Sep 26 that would end on Oct 1.
