KARACHI, Oct 17: A young man died of suspected poisoning after consuming food item at a shrine in Saeedabad on Friday.

Police said that Nazeer Ahmed, 35, fell ill after consuming some food item. He was taken to the Murshid Hospital, Hub River Road, where he died during treatment.

Later, his body was shifted to the Civil Hospital for the post-mortem examination, the police added.

Victim’s autopsy report was withheld till the receipt of the chemical report, the CHK sources added.

ELECTROCUTED: A young man died of electrocution in Mohammadi Colony on Friday.

Police said a shopkeeper, Idress Khan, 30, died when a live electric wire fell on him in Mohammadi Colony in the limits of Docks police station.
