KARACHI: Pakistan’s campaign in the Sangsom 6-Reds pro-am world snooker championship ended on a sour note in Bangkok on Thursday when big names Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Sajjad were knocked out in the pre quarter-finals.

Hong Kong’s Marco Fu halted former IBSF world champion Asif’s run registering an emphatic 6-2 victory in the best of 11 frames pre quarters encounter. Asif, who had a good start, could manage to win one more frame and with one exception, lost the five without even scoring a single point.
