LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) on Friday sealed seven banquet halls in different parts of the provincial capital for non-compliance of sales tax.

An official said that enforcement teams took action against Grace Marriage Hall, Madina Marriage Hall, Sangeet Marriage Hall and Khan Marriage Hall in Shahdara; Khursheed Marriage Hall and New Khursheed Marriage Garden on Mohni Road; and Al Munawara Marriage Hall in Kasurpura.

He said the sealed halls had also been imposed heavy penalties, adding that enforcement teams had intensified efforts to catch tax evaders in different services sectors.
