Sana Mir retained captain as Pakistan take on West Indies

LAHORE: Pakistan women's cricket team will take on the West Indies in a series of four ODIs and three T20s starting October, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Thursday.

Three of the four ODIs in the rubber are a part of the ICC ODI Women's Championship, which is also a qualification round for the Women's World Cup to be held in England in 2017, said a spokesman of PCB.

On its way back from the Caribbean, Pakistan will play two T20 friendlies against USA at Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to promote women's cricket in the country.

Sana Mir will lead the 16-member squad in the month-long tour for which a training will be set up in the coming days.
