ISLAMABAD: On the fourth day of PTF Masters’ Invitational Tennis championship, Ahmed Chaudhry, Abid Ali Akbar and Asad Ali Siyyid won their respective matches convincingly here on the hardcourt of the Pakistan Sports Complex.

The matches are being played on round robin basis best of five format.

In Monday’s first match, Ahmed Chaudhry defeated Mohammad Abid in a four-set match.

Chaudhry had to face defeat in the first set, however, he managed to make a good comeback and convincingly took the next three sets.

Mohammad Abid won the first set with minimal resistance from Chaudhry 6-3.

However, in the next three sets, Chaudhry outclassed him by winning the sets 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 respectively.

The match lasted three hours and 10 minutes.

Whereas, in the second match which lasted two hours and 45 minutes, Abid Ali Akbar beat Yasir Khan in straight sets.

He won the first set 6-2, however, Yasir gave him tough time in the second set.

At one stage, Yasir was leading 5-2, but Abid composed himself well and started playing excellent game from the baseline and took the set 7-5.

Similarly, he won the third set 6-3.

In the last match of the day, Asad Ali Siyyid outplayed Hamza Mehmood 6-4, 6-2, 6-2.

He took only two hours and nine minutes to win the match.

Asad won the first set 6-4 by breaking the eighth game of Hamza.

He took the next two sets 6-2 and 6-2.
