ISLAMABAD: A former professor of Quaid-i-Azam University on Wednesday claimed that school record showed founder of the nation was born on December 25, 1877.

Sharing challenges he faced while writing a biography of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah Dr Naeem Qureshi said, “The record of Lincoln’s Inn shows Mr. Jinnah was 19-year-old when he got himself enrolled there in 1893.”

He said that while attempting to write biography on great leader one comes across a number of challenges and problems in collection of material.

Dr Qureshi, who is the author of Pan-Islam in British Indian Politics, said for writing the biography, he met several people that include some doctors, who were part of the team, which treated Mr Jinnah during his last days, and some family members of first prime minister Liaqat Ali Khan.

“In my book, I’ll try to counter some narratives about Mr Jinnah which are based on hearsay,” he said.

Historians Syed Waqar Ali Shah, Dr Zarina Salamat, Samina Awan, Ashraf Ansari and other attended the small gathering organised by Council of Social Sciences Pakistan (COSS).
