KARACHI: Two free shots converted by Osama and Ali Raza enabled South Greens overcome fighting Korangi 37-35 in a nail-biting encounter to seize a place in the last four in the 10th NBP Cup basketball tournament at the Arambagh floodlit court on Thursday.

South Greens rejuvenated their act in the post interval session following a sluggish start that saw them trailed 13-16 at half time.

They drew level at 24-all and were tied 35-all when Osama and Raza cashd in on the back-to-back free shots to clinch honours. They had beaten Central Whites in the opener.

Raza mustered 14 points and was followed hy Osama nine and Adnan Ali six for winners.

Hamza Ali and Shahrukh amassed 14 and nine points for the losers.

In another match, East Greens humbled Central Greens 42-36 after enjoying 24-9 at half time.

The victory revolved around Ali Chanzeb an Talha Amjad who finished with 21 and 18 respectively.

Saad Farooq and Saifullah contributed 13 and 12 respectively for the losers.
