QUETTA: Six persons, including a woman and a girl were killed and 23 others injured in a head on collision between a car and a pick -up near Khanozai area of Qila Saifullah district on Tuesday.         

According to Levies officials, four of the victims belonged to a family who were travelling in the car which  was coming from Khanozai area.

It collided with a speedy pick-up near Toor-Ghar area carrying labourers from Kuchlak to Qila Saifullah, resulting in death of six persons on the spot.         

The car rammed into the pick-up and the bodies were taken out from the car after cutting it. Two of the dead were labourers who were travelling in the pick-up.         

Soon after the incident, personnel of Levies and other law enforcement agencies rushed to the site and shifted the bodies and injured to the government hospital Khanozai.

“All the 23 injured were labourers who were hired by a contractor from Kuchlak for a fruit orchards in Muslim Bagh,” levies officials said.         

The dead had been identified as Naseebullah, Matiullah, Nisar Ahmed, Bibi Rahima and Dahran while the name of sixth victim could not be ascertained.
