Artist? Check. Singer? Check. Actor? Check. Made it to Bollywood? Triple check! A multifaceted man indeed, Ali Zafar is celebrating five years in Bollywood as he climbed the ladder of success from his first venture Tere Bin Laden to his last flick, Kill Dil.

Ali, who is a National College of Arts (NCA) graduate, proved himself as an actor in sitcom Kollege Jeans and drama Lunda Bazaar. However, he then picked up a guitar and carved a name for himself as a singer with albums like Masty and Jhoom to his credits and one Lux Style Award to his name. But it was his first Bollywood venture that marked Ali as an actor who could survive there despite competition in the industry.

It was five years ago that his first comedy film Tere Bin Laden came out and although the film wasn't released in India, it was able to garner support in both India and Pakistan as fans enjoyed his performance as Ali Hasan, a journalist who is desperate to get some airtime.

Later on, Ali was signed up for more films including Mere Brother Ki Dulhan with Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif, London, Paris, New York, Total Siyappa, Chashme Badoor and more recently Kill Dil alongside Ranveer Singh, Govinda and Parineeti Chopra.

The actor has now returned home to produce a film Deosai, which will be set in Pakistan's Northern areas and will have Ali in the lead role.

So after becoming an artist, singer and actor, Ali will also be a producer — a quintessential celebrity? We thought so!
