QUETTA: Two people were injured in a bomb blast in front of a private hospital at Zarghoon road here on Friday.

Police said the bomb was placed near a car parked under an overhead bridge, adding that several vehicles were damaged by the explosion.

The blast rocked the entire city, causing panic among people.

“Two passers-by have received injuries in the blast,” a police official said, adding that two vehicles were destroyed and a few others damaged.

Windowpanes of some buildings, including two hospitals, were smashed.

The injured, Shehroz Khan Kakar and Sadat Khan Khilji, were shifted to the civil hospital by the FC and police personnel.

Police started investigation into the incident.
