Record revenue collected by customs

QUETTA: The Model Customs Collectorate Quetta has collected net revenue of Rs2,953.5 million during the last quarter of the financial year 2014-2015. The amount is 106 per cent higher than the revenue collected during the same period of the previous financial year.

According to Collector Customs Dr Mohammad Saeed Khan Jadoon, administrative measures have helped the Quetta collectorate to receive revenues above the target. The revenue collection during the previous financial year in the same period was Rs143,3.89m.

The target for the year 2014-15 was Rs4.43 billion and the Quetta Collectorate collected Rs6.97bn which is 66pc above the target.
