KARACHI, Oct 8: Eight matches were decided on Wednesday in the Pakistan International Veterans tennis championship at Karachi Gymkhana.

The day’s most interesting as well as the longest match was in the 55+doubles won by Zakaraia Ali Mohammad and Haji Younis Dada who overcame Asad and Anisur-Rehman 3-6, 7-6, 7-5.

Results:

35+ single: Rashid Malik bt Imran Ahmed 6-4, 1-0 (retired)

45+ single: Tasneen bt Anwar Younis 6-2, 6-1

45+ doubles: Tariq Sadozia/Tayyab Yousuf bt Abdul Qayyum/Mohammad Anjum 6-4, 6-3

55+ doubles: Zakaria Ali Mohd/Haji Younis Dada bt Asad Ishaq/ Anisur-Rehman 3-6, 7-6, 7-5; Laeeq Pirzada/Munir Pirzada bt Feroz/Harry 6-1, 6-1

35+ doubles: Rashid Malik/Imran Ahmed bt Khawaja Masoor/Shaheen Minhas 7-5, 7-6; Tariq Sadozai/Tayyab Yousuf bt Khalid Mustfhees/Khair Gul Agha 6-0, 6-1

45+ doubles: Mohd Ali/Moin Waheed bt Akbar Hayat Khan/Zahid Hussain 6-2, 6-4.
