KARACHI: Omar Associates registered their second win in Dollar East Dr M.A. Shah Night Trophy to enhance their chances for a place in the quarter-finals when they beat Rivo Mobile by 31 runs here at the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium on Tuesday night.

Noman Anwar smashed 47 off 28 balls with the five fours and three sixes and Babar Agha (3-13) played the main role in their team’s triumph.

Batting first, Omar Associates posted 145-8 in 20 overs. Osama Mir captured three wickets for 25 runs.

Rivo Mobile, in reply, made 114 all out in 16.5 overs. Jamal Anwar slammed three sixes and two fours in his 48. Babar was well supported by Anwar Ali and Fawad Khan, who chipped in with two wickets apiece.
