SUKKUR: Ghotki Town Municipal Officer Tariq Bhugio took to his heels when Rangers personnel raided his office on Monday over reports of large-scale corruption in municipal funds.

After the TMO’s escape, the law enforcers checked the record and asked the staff to hand them over files on different municipal works and expenditure as well as recruitment of employees made over the past eight years.

They remained in the office for more than two hours, but the staff failed to put together for them the record they had asked for. Later, they left with whatever files they could lay their hands on.
