KARACHI, Oct 4: Shahid Ahmad produced a dazzling overtime goal to propel PTCL into the final after hard fourth victory over Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) in the President PFF Cup football tournament in Quetta on Saturday.

PTCL wasted chances through Adeel Ahmad and Zahid Hameed in the 17th and 28th minute. KRL came close to scoring in the 7th minute through Qadeer and Atiqur Rahman in the 41st minute but failed because of poor finishing.

KRL started the second period aggressively but missed the opportunities through Ayaz Mahmood (63rd minute), Tariq Aziz (71st minute), and Sajjad Hussain (73rd minute).

PTCL’s could have gone ahead but failed to break the deadlock as Ismaeel Baba also wasted two golden chances while KRL goalkeeper Amir Khursheed was beaten.

Skipper Shahid finally fired home in the fourth minute of the extra time following a Sibghatullah pass to set up a final with Karachi Port Trust on Sunday.
