QUETTA: An army man was killed and three civilians were injured in an attack on a Multan-bound passenger coach in Kingri area of Loralai district on Friday.

Official sources said that armed men opened fire at the coach when it reached Kingri area, 50km from Makhtair at Loralai-Dera Ghazi Khan highway.

A soldier travelling in the coach died and three other people suffered injuries.

“The dead and the injured were going to Multan and Dera Ghazi Khan,” official sources said.

The FC troops manning the Kingri checkpost shifted the body and the injured to Loralai hospital. Sources said the attackers who were on motorcycle escaped after the incident. Security forces launched a search operation in the area to trace out the attackers.
