KARACHI: Former Asian 6-Reds champion Mohammad Asif and reigning Asian snooker champion Hamza Akbar emerged group champions by staying unbeaten in the fourth Asian 6-Reds snooker championship at the Iranian city of Kish Island.on Monday.

According to results made available here, drawn in group ‘E’, former world amateur snooker champion Asif won all his four matches to sneak into the next round.

Similarly, Asif’s compatriot Hamza, also came up with sterling performance to head group ‘B’ and advance into the next stage.

Contrary to Asif and Hamza’s performances, Mohammad Sajjad and Shahram Changezi suffered two defeats apiece in their respective four group matches.
