LAHORE: Three motorcyclists were killed and five others injured in three accidents on Sunday.

In the first incident, three people riding two motorcycles, crashed into each other near Ravi grid station on service lane of Ring Road.

The motorcyclists went down, suffered severe injuries and one of them identified as Khalid died at the spot.

The other two were identified as Taufiq and Shaukat.

Rescue team reached the spot and took the injured to Services Hospital where doctors pronounced Taufiq dead and Shaukat was said to be critical.

Ring Road police patrol impounded the vehicles.

In another incident, a motorcyclist died when a speeding truck hit him on Ravi Road.

Ijaz, 18, of Shafiqabad was on his way when he was hit by a speeding truck near Malipura filling station on Bund Road. The victim suffered critical head injuries and died at the spot.

Shafiqabad ASI Ghulam Murtaz said victim’s family denied lodging case against the truck driver because the motorcyclist was coming from the opposite direction.

He said the body was handed over to heirs.

In the third incident, four men were injured when a rickshaw collided with a speeding truck at Kot Abdul Malik.

An Edhi ambulance reached the spot and shifted the injured to hospital where they were said to be stable.
