KARACHI: Asian snooker champion Hamza Akbar added Rs300,000 to his kitty that were doled out by three individuals on his remarkable feat in Kuala Lumpur rece­ntly. Raising funds was part of the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Federation (PBSF) campaign it has launched to help the cueist compete in professional league in England.

According to the PBSF, a big chunk of the amount — Rs200,000 — came from business tycoon Aqeel Karim Dhedhi of AKD Securities.

Besides, two other people Mohammad Asif and Haroon Agar announced a sum of Rs50,000 apiece.
