Former president Zardari embarks on one-day visit to Kabul

Former president and PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday left for Kabul on a one-day visit to Afghanistan.
During his visit the former president is expected to hold meeting with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Chief Executive Officer Dr Abdullah Abdullah and other leaders.
Topics related to Pak-Afghan bilateral relations, efforts for bringing peace in the region and the Afghan reconciliation process will be discussed during the meetings.
He is accompanied by former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and Vice President of Pakistan People Party Sherry Rehman during the visit.

Relations deteriorated during the Zardari government between Pak and Afghan, now i am sure he is going there on a different agenda to make sure the issues remain. I would not trust Zardari and Abdullah Abdullah from Afghanistan, there is more to the eye then it seems.

Good step in positive direction for better and brotherly relationship with a neighbouring Muslim country with deep religious and cultural bonds. Peace and stability should be the main focus, including rooting out terrorism and militancy from the entire region which is only possible through mutual trust and confidence.
On both sides of the Durand line, there should be a commitment and resolve not to let any terrorist activities across the border, as peace is vital for the economic development and prosperity of both Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Our image will further tarnish in international arena.First he has to take 100% clean chit of cases pending against him. Why PML(N) is not going ahead with cases pending in NAB and different courts in Pakistan.Simply, there is mutual understanding not to destabilize Nawaz in reward not to proceed cases of Zardari.Also GoV should clear as who is going to born the travel expenses?
