Former president Zardari embarks on one-day visit to Kabul

Former president and PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday left for Kabul on a one-day visit to Afghanistan.

During his visit the former president is expected to hold meeting with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Chief Executive Officer Dr Abdullah Abdullah and other leaders.

Topics related to Pak-Afghan bilateral relations, efforts for bringing peace in the region and the Afghan reconciliation process will be discussed during the meetings.

He is accompanied by former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and Vice President of Pakistan People Party Sherry Rehman during the visit.
