Mubarak calls on Fahd

RIYADH, Sept 30: Egypt’s President Hosni Mubarak met Saudi King Fahd and Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz here on Tuesday to discuss the situation in Iraq and the Palestinian territories, the Saudi News Agency reported.

“King Fahd and President Mubarak examined the latest developments in the Arab, Islamic and international arenas, particularly the situation of the Palestinians to reach a just solution to the problem,” SPA said.

“They also discussed recent developments in Iraq and both countries’ views in this regard,” it said. The meeting was held in the presence of senior officials, including Crown Prince Abdullah, it added.—AFP
