TIMERGARA: The sub-engineers and technical and non-technical employees of various departments staged a rally in front of Timergara Press Club on Friday to record their protest against the violence on protesting non-technical class-IV employees in Peshawar the other day.

Provincial finance secretary of All Sub-engineers Association Sajjad Khan led the protesters.

The lower grade employees of irrigation, public health and engineering, and communication and works departments participated in the protest. The protesters demanded withdrawal of cases against leaders of class-IV employees.

They demanded of the government to upgrade the posts of sub-engineers and all technical and non-technical staff. They threatened to block all water supply schemes in the district if their demands were not met.
