Ever since the charges levied against fashion model Ayaan Ali made it to news, it appears similar allegations have become quite a trend. The latest celebrity to fall prey to this is popular actor and host, Saba Qamar.

Last night, Urdu newspaper Jahaan-e-Pakistan stated that the Federal Investigation Agency had started investigating Qamar for money laundering. Qamar was quick to issue a statement denying any such thing.

“I haven’t received any calls from the concerned authorities, and the people who are behind this baseless propaganda are the same as those who are jealous of my success and popularity,” she said.

“I have previously chosen to ignore such propaganda against me and will do so again. I have made a name for myself in this industry and country by hard work and will continue doing so," the actor stated.

Referring to allegations that she made ‘numerous’ foreign visits, Saba stressed that she was recently spotted in Dubai for the HUM TV Awards 2015, that too after a gap of five years. She added that the last place she went to was Bangkok, and that too in 2010.

Currently engaged in another drama project for Hum TV, Saba Qamar was recently awarded Best Actor Female (Jury) award for her performance in Bunty, I Love You.

Actor Mahira Khan, who also bagged different awards at the show had lauded Saba’s performance and said in her acceptance speech that, “Every award this year is Saba Qamar's."
