After ending their 16-year wait, Bangladesh will be confident of sealing a historic series by beating their senior sub-continent rivals in the second of the three one-day internationals today.
But Shakib Al Hasan, who led the team in absence of regular captain Mashrafe Mortaza, warned his team-mates that winning the series will in no way be a walk in the park.
“We will have the upper hand and the confidence will be high the next two matches but it won’t be easy. We have to play our best cricket.”
Mashrafe will be back to lead Bangladesh after the one-game ban because of slow over-rate during the World Cup quarter-final against India in Melbourne last month.
The Bangladesh tour mark the start of a new era for Pakistan cricket following the one-day retirement of skipper Misbah-ul Haq and senior all-rounder Shahid Afridi after the World Cup.
The current team comprised just four players who took part in the World Cup, giving new ODI captain Azhar Ali a relatively inexperienced bunch of tourists.

It is not Pakistan losing, its Waqar's ego and our selectors foolishness which is being demolished. Waqar can't take any senior players presence and is throwing them out one by one. You didn't need to punish Shehzad and Umar by sacking them, you could have demoted them in pay catagory or deducted a hefty fine from their WC earnings. Haroon Rashid should explain, on which parameters does he think that Saad Nasim is a better allrounder than Shoaib Malik. Playing Sarfraz as opner is a waste and is done on fan pressure. Strange to see Zulfiqar Baber sitting out in this match.

They have not improved,you will see soon in future against teams like SA,Aus,SL,England.
They might have some edge only in home conditions.
Even if this Pakistani team plays to their full potential they can beat BD easily.
Beating big teams once in a blue moon does not make you a big team.
Look at SL once they became WC-96 winner,they are always among high ranks teams and they took about 15 years to become a strong team.
BD has already taken almost 20 years and they are still considered among minnows.

Azhar Ali is misfit as captain. He is another Misbah, a defensive. Request Afridi to call off his retirement and give him the captaincy with Sarfaraz as his deputy. Afridi was the one who took Pakistan to the semi finals in the world cup. We know the reasons how he was not allowed to be won in the semi final against India. But that was the history. He is bold and aggressive. He should groom Sarfaraz as future captain who made Pakistan under 19 champion. Waqar Younus should also be shown the doors and Mohsin Khan should be brought in as the chief coach. He has been successfully tried and tested earlier. Waqar Younus is just saving his job. He is not capable for this assignment. Why he is the only one not sacked after world cup? How long we will wait for some realistic changes?

PCB need to overhaul, oil changes to team, Captain, Selector, Board, removed this Sethi, Sharyar,Haroon, Waqar,Azhar these all are test player, Media, Foreign ministry personnel, we need Inzi, Yousuf, Rashid Lateef, Wasim Akram, Sikander, Sarfarz Nawaz, Saiqlain, Mohammad Mushtaq, Asif Iqbal, Said Anwer, Amir Sohail ( Captains 3 young T/20, ODI and Test similarly 3 v/captains all young age between 23/24 yrs ) before one of w/c 2018 we have to selected a final captain from these 6 Captains and VCs one ODI W/cup future captain will healthy competition. Sooner we get rid of this this set up, Brand new set, this job only can do by PM Nawaz. otherwise sorry for cricket will follow similar fate of Hokey if we will not change present set up immediately.

Azhar this is not Captaincy inning 36 runs/ 60 bowl what poor cricket playing in ODI, this is the reason Pak lost 2nd ODI, it is not day game look like test and Misbah legacy you have to show NZ Captain in 60 bowls it must be 75/100 runs if you want to justify and prove yourself as captain and your place in ODI, Sorry to say this way you can not survive in team, which needing hard hitting batsman.
